On Wednesday, September 3, the first meeting of the Supervisory Board of the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund took place. At the meeting, the Fund’s core operating principles, governance structure, and committee composition were approved.

“The first meeting of the Supervisory Board marks the beginning of the Fund’s operational work. The next step is to approve the final investment rules and procedures, as well as prepare a list of the first projects aligned with the Fund’s goals and ready for launch. In September, we will discuss these developments with our American partners from DFC during their visit to Kyiv,” – said Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the regulations of four specialized committees were approved and the distribution of members between them was determined.

A representative of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, noting that the United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund represents a new level of strategic partnership.

The Board also authorized the opening of operational bank accounts and the start of the selection process for the Fund Administrator and Investment Advisor. Applications for project financing will be submitted through an open application process, which will be presented after the approval of the investment protocol within the next month. This document will establish clear selection criteria and the decision-making process at the committee and Supervisory Board levels.

United States-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund is a joint initiative of the Governments of Ukraine and the United States, designed to mobilize private investment into strategically important sectors of Ukraine’s economy. The Fund was officially launched on May 23, 2025.
